Providers’ survey topline findings

We’re keen to understand the experiences of service providers, and to strengthen our relationships with them.

We sent the online survey out to 547 providers. Responses were received from 251.

The survey questions focused on providers’ views of partnership, support, resources and information we provide.

The topline findings from the survey showed that providers:

• valued their partnership with us, but feel we need to improve on mutual respect, shared vision and a collaborative, co-design approach
• would like more opportunities to provide input into decisions and feel our communication needs to improve
• would like more guidance, training and support. They need equal, fair and adequate funding, and stable contracts
• are not always confident in our ability to provide care, and to support tamariki and whānau appropriately.

We will use the findings to improve support and resources for our service providers. The aim is to make sure tamariki and whānau continue to get quality care.
